At Cardiff Met University, we take pride in delivering an outstanding dual career pathway that empowers talented rugby players to excel as a person, student and athlete. Our thriving rugby programme supports over 550 students annually, including engagement with our performance and club programmes as well as extensive opportunities for professional development. Competing in BUCS Super Rugby and WRU Premiership we’re proud to be one of the most unique and competitive university-based clubs in the UK. This is seen by some recent Alumni students who have performed on the National and International stage.
Our Rugby Programme: Student Experience
Our programme provides a unique player development pathway spanning 3 to 4 years, underpinned by the club’s core values of hard work, team first, and humility. Through our comprehensive placement offering, we have provided students, from courses such as coaching, performance analysis, sports and exercise science, media, & S&C, the platform to transition into employment roles within elite environments. The student experience also focuses on the importance of social connections, through the player-led social activities these includes The Cardiff Clash, Varsity and summer 7s programmes.

If selected as one of the 46 players in our Performance or 23 players in our pathway programme, you’ll gain access to:
